Mel Margolis 1938 - 2010

Husband, father, brother, grandfather and great laughing partner,  he loved life, people, and a good joke. He will be missed.

Mel was an excellent athlete and winning runner in high school,  at college and in the Army.

He served honorably in the Army at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and in Germany and was a member of the Color Guard of Jewish War Veterans, Post 617.

Mel was a successful business owner and community participant  who was always generous with his energy and sincere in his concern for others. He lived a rich, full life as a result of his  hard work and dedication to job, family and friends. We are lucky to have known him.

Mel was like a big brother to me at VDM. He left his smile as a lasting imprint in the memories of those who knew him. I highly respected him..and know that he was very generous. Fondly, "Jimmy" Swain, VDM 1951-60.
